Music on the Mountain is a music festival created to bring about awareness and funding for many organizations who are dedicated to sustainable, altenative energy.
Mountain Song Festival, taking place at Brevard Music Center, is dedicated to bringing the best in Mountain Music. Featuring Bluegrass, Newgrass, Oldtime and folk music, this event is truly a community festival for the whole family. This years artists include David Grisman Quintet, Seldom Scene, Shannon Whitworth and Refugees, and Steep Canyon Rangers.
We’re planning a day of outdoor music, open to the community, followed by an indoor evening of intimate singer-songwriter sharing. During the day, local musicians including the Moonshine Babies will be performing in the amphitheater outside of the Porter Center on the Brevard College campus surrounded by the Whimsical Art festival. That night, ticket holders will be treated to a gathering of singer-songwriter talents Shannon Whitworth, Beth Wood, Julie Lee and Nikki Talley, playing in the round on the Porter Center stage.
